During my fourth-grade summer vacation, I visited Yellow Crane Tower with my father. Its unique square-and-octagonal design, with four raised corners, gives the building both grandeur and elegance. The five tiers of flying eaves, pointed roof, and golden glazed tiles shimmer brilliantly under the sunlight. Sixty curved eaves stretch outward, like a yellow crane about to take flight.
When I climbed to the sixth floor and looked down, I saw the mighty Yangtze River flowing forward. Across the river and all around, tall buildings rose densely like a forest, forming a striking contrast with the ancient tower.
Yellow Crane Tower was first built during the Three Kingdoms period and has been rebuilt dozens of times. I hope this historic tower can be preserved: repaired regularly each year, kept free from vandalism and graffiti, and protected by all. Only then can Yellow Crane Tower once again reveal its original beauty.
